2. Which filter media should I use, Paper or Cloth?
It depends on oil volume and sediment conditions. If you fry large volumes of heavy sediment foods (ie breaded chicken, fish or doughnuts etc) then it would be more appropriate to use the cloth filter bag. This cloth filter can be cleaned and reused and is best suited for large volume heavy sediment conditions. The paper filter is best suited for light volume. light sediment conditions.

3. How often should I change my filters?
Cloth filters will normally last 5-7 days. Paper filters will normally last one filter cycle. As stated above, results may vary in any situation, the time to change filters is when the length of time to filter has increased and/or the oil is not as clear as it should be for its age and amount of use.

4. Why should I use Filtrator Compound or Filter Powder?
These filter aids assist in the filtration of the oil by removing the particulate and/or free fatty acid (FFA) molecules that are in the oil. They allow for finer filtration because of the reduced size of the openings through which the oil must pass before reaching the filter paper/cloth.

5. What is the difference between Filtrator Compound and Filter Powder?
Both will aid in the filtration of your oil. The Filtrator Compound will filter only the particles that are in the oil. The Filter Powder not only filters the particles, but also removes the liquid molecular structure (i.e. the free fatty acids), which causes the oil to break down.

6. How often should I filter my oil?
